The Brief

Trippas White Group (Trippas) is a leader in the hospitality industry, managing a diverse portfolio of iconic restaurant, café and event spaces across Australia including Sydney Opera House, Western Foyers, 360 Bar and Dining, Botanic Gardens Restaurant, Centennial Parklands Dining and the newly opened WATT at the Brisbane Powerhouse, The Avalon on the Beach, Roslyn Packer Theatre and Walsh Bay Kitchen. Trippas came to New Republique to update their digital representation across all of their locations, with the ability to manage these sites from one centralised content management system. In addition, Trippas wanted to ensure each location carried a design that reflected uniqueness of the location.
The Brief

The Strategy

We kicked off our strategy by first analysing the statistics of the current sites. The trends between desktop and mobile showed users commonly research via desktop and booked via mobile. Given this mobility was the key to helping increase online bookings. Supporting our analytics research was a detailed requirements gathering helping us to better understand the business, the stakeholder requirements, the organisational technical limitations and the needs for a solutions. Off the back of this research we developed a strategy focused on what we have learn’t and identifying a solution that provided the current business needed, yet allowed for scale over time. As we take a technology agnostic approach, we began by developing a range of wireframes and prototype for the first 5 sites. This gave us a range of variables which we could mix and match to create new bespoke designs for each location whilst giving us a framework to build from. The core of the technology solution was based on Joomla as the core CMS with plugins and bespoke code fulfilling all other unique needs. To date we have rolled up to 8 sites. Each with their own look and feel and bespoke personality.

The Results

Since the launch the new sites have cumulated providing the business with up to 106% increase in online bookings. A corporate record of the business. In addition, the framework has elevated internal resources time in managing the content and provided the business further operational efficiencies.
